The functional S7-IIoT-Gateway enables, on the one hand, an optimal connection between S7 solutions and the BigData world and, on the other hand, a secure connection between S7 points completely without portals and cloud computing. In accordance with the ‘Reference Architecture Model Industry 4.0 - RAMI4.0’, INSEVIS offers all in-built configuration interfaces, so that a single browser is sufficient to perform and save extensive customisations. User management ensures that only authorised operators can make settings and that only authorised devices can establish connections to your S7 solution. External access can be securely configured via openVPN. The main attraction of the INSEVIS S7-IIoT-Gateway is that the integrated NodeRED enables a virtually unlimited number of additional features. The S7-IIoT-Gateway provides NodeRED with internal S7 process data as data points, and then the NodeRED project engineer decides what he wants to deploy: whether it be a dashboard as a web visualisation, whether it be tweeds, email, FTP functions; with the knowledge of using NodeRED, entirely new possibilities open up.
